Adventures in English: Episode One

Have you ever wondered how to learn English using comics? The Kaplan team are a big fan of comics and comic book movies, especially Marvel's Thor: The Dark World!

Our research revealed that Spider-Man is the most popular comic book superhero for helping people learn English. We also found that Spidey is the top hero used by English teachers to enhance their lessons.

These studies inspired us to create our own comic strip. Kaplan have teamed up with Pablo Stanley to create a series of comics called "Adventures in English".

Pablo is a famous graphic designer and illustrator. You may already be familiar some of his work. Discover more about Pablo in our interview with him.

Our first episode focuses on homophones. Read below the comic for the handy homophone explanations.
